Accessible Playground Opens

The OT Center at Jefferson in Second Life celebrated the opening of its new accessible playground with a 3 hour event led by Graduate Assistants Sweeney Jigsaw, Lynnze  Inglewood, Angelica Tremmor, Bodi MacIntire, and Zunie Miggins on December 17, 2009. The playground consists of stations illustrating ways to provide opportunities for children with and without disabilities to play with one another. Each station is based on research evidence on the particular type of adaptation, and visitors can access additional information about the adaptations through a special wiki the student created.  The playground is a unique exhibit at the Center as it was the first that was conceptualized and implemented almost entirely by the graduate student group. Nice job, all!
